Everything I Believed Was True As A Small Brown Girl is a mini book illustrated and written by me. It is narrated from the perspective of a child’s thoughts, imbibing words, statements, and warnings given by adults around her. Sometimes it takes the voice of the child, sometimes it takes the voice of the adults, who said these things, themselves. I am also compelled to state the obvious - this is not a guide on how to raise a girl and none of the headings your read are actually, logically, true. It is a satirical commentary on misogyny in modern India.
